What this is about

To hear is to passively perceive sound. The ear has no lid and has no alternative but to keep hearing. Hear seeks reference to the process of passive perception and active resistance. The voice-over is a kind of hypnotizing practice presented by a psychiatrist. The video work could be the journey of the tension between beign hypnotized and rejecting to be hypnotized. It could be the director's self-portrait of her conflicts in making a video work - a medium that impliese passivity. It could also be a dialogue between the artist and the video work.
